Our Mission

Our mission is simple: Help you become the best angler you can be.

We believe fishing is a diverse hobby that can be overwhelming due to the multitude of techniques and gear out there, not to mention the gear are all of differing qualities. We sort all that out for you, so you can focus on what matters—fishing.

We aim to do this through writing detailed how-to guides to perfect your angling skills, proven fishing tips to improve your fishing game, and honest and unbiased roundup reviews to find you the best gear, as well as buying guides to make sure you spend wisely.

Our Story

The seeds of Fishing Sensei were sown when our founder Reuben, a seasoned angler with over two decades under his belt, took his two young sons on their first fishing expeditions. Those priceless moments of joy and bonding made him ponder a significant question: What about those who don’t have someone to guide them on their fishing journey?

In March last year, the realization hit that not everyone has the luxury of a mentor when they pick up their first fishing rod. It was this understanding that prompted the birth of Fishing Sensei—a platform conceived to be the worldwide mentor for every angler, from the newbie to the seasoned pro.

From our modest origins, we now reach over a thousand daily visitors as a trusted source for fishing advice.

Our Team

The Fishing Sensei team comprises of seasoned anglers, each with years of fishing experience and a commitment to simple, understandable, and yet helpful content.

Every member of the team works hand-in-hand with our founder to guide anglers to become masters on the water.

Our Responsibility

At FishingSensei.com, we are committed to achieving the highest quality of editorial excellence.

👉 We prioritize easy-to-understand yet in-depth advice and reviews. We never confuse our readers with fancy and complicated fishing terms to make the products we review seem attractive, or to make our tips and guides seem more legit.

👉 Everything published on Fishing Sensei is vetted by not one, not two, but at least three anglers, with one of them being our founder himself.

👉 Freshness is key, just like your catch. We keep our content as fresh as the morning catch, constantly updating to ensure you have the latest tips and gear recommendations.

Fishing Sensei utilizes affiliate marketing to fund our operations, but commissions never influence our recommendations. In fact, if you end up returning a product because it didn’t meet your expectations or our info was off the mark, we don’t see a dime from that transaction.

We are also dedicated to the conservation and improvement of fish populations. Despite our site being about catching more fish, we aren’t contributing to reducing fish populations. Whether or not an angler visits our site, he or she would have gone fishing anyway, but by educating readers on fishing regulations and methods to conserve fish populations such as catch and release, we can help bring balance to ocean ecosystems and ensure the fishing industry remains healthy.
